We are up to "S" hurricanes names for the year and a major hurricane has just hit the East Coast - at the end of October. Common sense would tell us that the warmer oceans caused by global warming are a major cause. Still, it's nice to have confirmation. A recent article in the Proceedings of the National Academy Of Sciences has just shown that hurricanes are becoming more common and more intense because of global warming.
